La bandurria pudiera ser el instrumento aludido por Johannes Tictoris (1487) con la palabra "ghiterre". Es interesante su comentario: "Y he escuchado mucho más a menudo a mujeres catalanas cantando con ella canciones de amor que a algún hombre tañerla".
Nuestro instrumento fue realizado por José Ignacio Fernández a partir de un ejemplar de Hans Ott (1450) conservado en Wartburg Castle (Eisenach). José Ignacio tuvo oportunidad de medir y estudiar el instrumento in situ
The gittern (bandurria) could be the instrument alluded by Johannes Tinctoris (1487) with the word "ghiterre". His words are very interesting: "And I have listened much more often to Catalan women singing love songs on it, than to a man playing it.
Our instrument was made by José Ignacio Fernández after an instrument by Hans Ott (1450) preserved in Eisenach. He was the opportunity of measure the instrument in situ.
